Salesforce unveils Sustainability Cloud

Salesforce's brand new cloud: Sustainability Cloud

Salesforce has just unveiled a brand-new product in its portfolio called Sustainability Cloud, which will be available from December 2019. This tool will allow business to keep better track of their carbon footprint and empower them to drive improvements and effective climate action within their organisations.

This announcement comes as Salesforce is the headline sponsor for Climate Week NYC 2019, the UN-sponsored event taking place from the 23rd to 29th September in New York. During this week, New York will be filled with businesses, governments, academic institutions, arts organisations, individuals and non- profit organisations to discuss climate action.

Climate change is a big challenge facing businesses today and that’s why Salesforce is committed to be a platform for change and keep climate issues front of mind. Salesforce is already using the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals to fuel the company’s global strategy in its path to innovation and they have pledged to use 100% renewable energy by 2022 to reduce its carbon offset.

Sustainability Cloud will provide a 360-degree-view of a business’s impact on the environment and allow businesses to use that data to gain insights on sustainability and actionable impact. The cloud collates important data on sustainability such as energy usage and travel and it will translate it into a business’s carbon footprint.
