With every new Salesforce release we see a long list of exciting new features being released. In Spring’17 we now have access to the perfect Spring Cleaning tool, Salesforce Optimizer!
We’ve all had that moment when we want to do a quick housekeeping check in to see the state of a play of an Org only to find that is not a quick process at all! Well, thanks to Salesforce Optimizer you can now get a kick start on your feature check.
Salesforce Optimizer runs a report on your Org’s current set up and compares these against best practices to ensure you’re on the right track. Not only does the report evaluate your features to best practices (including some of the really time consuming tasks like field usage) but it also gives you an appendix with all the data and some recommended next steps.
So, what features does Optimizer currently review?
- Field Usage (limits, usage)
- Apex Triggers (limits)
- Custom Layouts (page layouts, record types)
- Validation Rules (active & inactive)
- Sharing Rules (limits)
- Workflow Rules (limits
- User Permissions (administrator access)
- Profiles & Permissions (profiles, permis
sion sets)
Like all releases, the list will grow so keep an on eye on this Help & Training article. If there is a particular feature you’d like to see, then reach out to the Team by posting in Success Community group,
* Release Readiness & Feature Adoption * and use the hashtag #OptimizerReportFeedback
