Our key takeaways on how to lead through change with data
On Wednesday Team CloudShift attended the Tableau IT Summit 2020 to hear the latest insights on analytics best practices from Leaders, Customers and Partners to drive change with data.
As a UK Tableau Alliance Partner, we are excited to help lead the conversation on data transformation and how data is key to leverage innovation and resilience in these times.
In this post, we have summarised for you the main takeaways of the opening keynote on Leading Through Change with Data. Let’s dive in.
Digital transformation equals a data transformation
We cannot talk about digital transformation without data. Data is the bedrock on which digital resilience is founded and in the opening keynote we find so many valuable examples of businesses which have begun or built on their digital transformation journey by prioritizing their approach to data. Let’s take the example of the NHS – the National Health Service realised quickly that they needed to leverage the power of data to help local governments make informed decisions for the welfare of the public. In just three days the NHS with the help of Tableau organised a server hosting to store all local/regional data and made a holistic view accessible through a dashboard to monitor the evolving crisis.
We need a data culture
We need to start thinking about data as a team effort and not just the remit of IT. We need data literacy programs at all levels of an organisation to educate staff on how to interpret data assets and leverage that knowledge.
With platforms such as Tableau we can easily monitor access to users, governance and scale operations safely.
Transparency and accountability are key
We need to set specific protocols on data governance so that we can be more agile and react quickly to change, especially in our current climate. Tableau offers complete transparency and control of data sources and the flexibility to link various data sources together in seamless integration. It also enables organisations to implement analytics at scale and achieve a completely holistic view through a dashboard, offering you access to authors and data sources, unlocking a level of transparency and accountability that wasn’t available before.
Tableau is a world-leading innovative data analytics platform and as a Tableau Alliance Partner, we would love to start a conversation with you on leading through change with data-driven insights. Want to find out more about Tableau? Check out our latest blog on Tableau’s top data visualisations.
