Let’s take the example of the NHS – the National Health Service realised quickly that they needed to leverage the power of data to help local governments make informed decisions for the welfare of the public. In just three days the NHS with the help of Tableau organised a server hosting to store all local/regional data and made a holistic view accessible through a dashboard to monitor the evolving crisis.
We need a data culture
We need to start thinking about data as a team effort and not just the remit of IT. We need data literacy programs at all levels of an organisation to educate staff on how to interpret data assets and leverage that knowledge.
