Our key takeaways on how to lead through change with data

Team CloudShift attended the Salesforce Live EMEA 2020 this week, a live-streaming virtual event covering brilliant Customer success stories and best practice from Trailblazers in the EMEA region.
The virtual event hosted over 3,000 attendees and featured valuable sessions that focused on how we as businesses can move forward in the new normal, how we can ensure a safe return to the office and how we can engage our Customers in relevant conversations.

The event kicked off with the opening keynote hosted by Gavin Patterson – CEO and Bret Taylor – President and COO, who welcomed trailblazers and summarised the efforts made by the Salesforce Ohana to support the Ecosystem during these times of crisis; and how digital has now become an imperative for all businesses. Taylor identified three stages of the current situation: stabilise, reopen and grow.

Many businesses are now starting to plan their reopening and wondering how to approach that safely. One thing is clear: we are returning to a completely different office, which is why Salesforce launched work.com.
The work.com platform is helping businesses and communities manage change in unprecedented times. The work.com command centre shows an overview of the employee status and their shift status so that you can best manage social distancing and ensure coverage on critical projects.

It’s not only your staff who will now rely heavily on digital channels but your customers as well. Carmina Coenen– Director of Solution Engineering at Salesforce stated: “Every consumer has their own needs and their own problems, and we need to use tech to give people a unique experience and 1-2-1 customisation” – You can achieve this with Salesforce Customer 360, create a single source of truth and leverage AI to create customised and personalised Customer experiences.

Our team participated in lots of brilliant sessions, such as AppExchange as a Differentiator: Your Partner Back to Growth’ with Baman Motivala and Julie Jacobson. The session explained how over 4,000 solutions on App Exchange help Customers streamline and advance their digital transformation as well as minimise risk and increase success. It’s always great to hear about the latest innovations and Apps entering the Salesforce ecosystem so we can advise our Customers of the best solutions.

We also heard amazing stories on how to Market Effectively Through Change’. We especially enjoyed the Barcelo Hotel Group case study – here they explained that with Marketing Cloud, organisations are equipped to deliver connected customer experiences across each step of the journey, from acquisition to loyalty, engaging with their customers in an empathetic and personalised way across all touchpoints.

There were so many valuable sessions and content from Trailblazers in EMEA on how to lead and build resilience for the new normal and getting back to growth. Check out the Salesforce Events page to find other industry-leading events and follow our blog for all Salesforce Events coverage.
