Towering 114.5m above London’s Olympic Park, the ArcelorMittal Orbit stands taller than the statue of liberty, some of our brave CloudShift staff took on the challenge to abseil from it, all in aid of Peace Direct.
Kristina, Sam & Chris encountered the UK’s highest freefall abseil with an 85m descent, hopefully they managed to enjoy the panoramic views of London on the way down.
The team faced their fears and raised much needed funding and awareness of helping free people living in war zones from a life of fear and violence.
Peace Direct work with local people to stop war destroying lives.
In every war zone there are local people tackling the triggers of violence, defusing deadly tensions, healing the divides of conflict and rebuilding lives after war has torn communities apart.
They support them to stop violence escalating and build long term peace. Peace Direct speak out for local people to ensure the world hears their voices and they challenge world leaders to support them.
CloudShift has been involved with a number of fundraising/challenges for Peace Direct, you might remember our own CEO Alastair Murray embarking on a survival challenge last year. We are proud to support our team with their Pledge 1% commitment’s, find out more about Pledge 1% and how CloudShift gets involved.
