The Best New Features of Salesforce Summer ’21

salesforce summer 21

Salesforce Summer ’21 release is here, check out our highlights of the best new features.

With the latest release of Salesforce just around the corner, we’ve decided to bring together some of the features we’re looking forward to getting out hands-on most. You’ll be able to get your hand on these new features from 15th May, depending on your Salesforce instance.

Inline editing in Salesforce reports (Beta)
You will now be able to edit your records within a Salesforce report, quickly update an opportunity probability or contact number quickly and easily right from the report. No more having to go into individual records one at a time to get your org data nice and clean. This one is sure to save time and improve efficiency.

Download dashboard images
Want to quickly and easily share the performance of a campaign or details of quarterly targets? This is now possible through downloading dashboards as images, ideal for sharing information with someone outside of your organisation or embedding performance images in presentations.

Quickly view record access reasons
Clicking on the Sharing Hierarchy button within a record will now provide you with the details of who has access to a record, their level of access and why they have access.

Dynamic Actions Bar
Access all your most important actions in one convenient bar. You can now quickly and easily add, drag, and configure the Dynamic Actions Bar for your standard and custom actions, including setting visibility for the entire Dynamic Actions bar.

Mass Actions in Split View
Split View is great for allowing you to quickly flick between record information within a list, however previously, you had to switch back to a List View to perform mass actions. Well switch no more, you can now perform mass action from split view, another great little timesaver from Salesforce.

Pipeline Inspection
Sales teams now have key pipeline metrics such as opportunities, and weekly changes in close dates, amounts and stages all in a single view with Pipeline Inspection. These insights will generate greater visibility over the whole pipeline giving managers and sales reps accurate timely data so they are able to accurately forecast their revenue.

That’s it for our top features from the upcoming Summer ’21 release. If you want to ensure you’re Salesforce org is up to date and making the most out of all the latest releases then check out our services page and discover how we can get your org in tip-top shape!
