It’s that time of year again when there’s a slight chill in the air and we get to review the Salesforce Winter Release… This new release brought us some great new features across clouds such as Service, Sales, Marketing and Commerce as well as some excellent universal additions to the platform for all Salesforce users. Let’s take a look at our favourite new features of the Salesforce Winter 21 Release.
1. Salesforce Anywhere
Salesforce welcomes a brand new solution, called Salesforce Anywhere; first announced this summer it is now available generally to users in beta version. This app is designed specifically to help businesses worldwide to improve and track collaboration efforts whilst working remotely. Take advantage now of the Salesforce Anywhere app to collaborate with teams, stay productive in their workflow, and keep up to date on their customers from anywhere with chat, alerts, comments and video embedded directly into the Salesforce experience.
2. Flow Updates
Flows’ functionality have improved greatly to enable flows to automatically align, supporting debugging by another user, and supporting pre-deletion sequences. Flows are a fan favourite function of most Salesforce admin users, allowing you to build code-like logic and automate business processes to save your end users time
3. Dynamic Surveys
Dynamic surveys are here to bring user personalisation to the max for all Salesforce users – you can create multiple paths to a journey, showing participants the most appropriate path based on their responses to questions on the previous pages. Use page branching logic to determine which page a participant views next, based on responses on the previous pages.
4. Dynamic Forms and Actions
Dynamic Forms are the next step in the evolution of Lightning record pages. It adds the ability to configure record detail fields and sections inside the Lightning App Builder. Also, there are now more ways to add the flexibility and control of dynamic actions to your record pages. Dynamic actions for custom objects are GA for desktop and Beta for mobile.
5. Einstein Opportunity Scoring
Fine-tuning your scoring model can yield more accurate scores. When setting up Einstein Opportunity Scoring, you can choose to have Einstein look only at opportunities that meet certain conditions. Also, decide if you want Einstein to exclude any custom opportunity fields from the scoring model.
