The ultimate packing list for Dreamforce
With less than a week left before Dreamforce, you need to start packing now for one of the biggest tech conventions in the world and four days that will change the way you think about business.
Here at CloudShift, we are currently packing our bags for San Francisco and would like to share with you our top tips for packing for Dreamforce!
Download the Salesforce Event App
You should download the Salesforce Events App to better navigate through Dreamforce. The app is available on the App Store and Google Play and we recommend you to download it now to start building your conference schedule! You will have the chance to do a scavenger hunt on the app across the Dreamforce campus and navigate your way through Dreamforce with interactive maps and and receive schedule updates notifications.
Dress comfortably
You will be tempted to wear your smartest outfit in expectation of all the networking sessions happening at Dreamforce, however, you might not want to get too dressed up. First of all, remember that you will be walking from one session to the next all day long and standing in queues so wear comfortable shoes! Overall, we would suggest to pack business casual outfits to bring with you at Dreamforce.
Pack a portable battery
It’s 2019 and it is pretty fair to say that our lives are completely contained in our phones. You will be using your phone a lot: taking pictures, taking some notes, looking up something online, using the Salesforce Events app etc. and you will eventually end up with a dead battery halfway through the day.
For this reason, make sure you bring a portable battery and/or your charger so that you will be enjoying Dreamforce to the fullest without having to worry about being offline.
Bring a water bottle
Salesforce will be providing free water stations across the Dreamforce campus, so make sure you bring a water bottle (bonus point if you have some branded gear) to refill on your way from one session to the next!
Prepare for rainy weather
San Francisco can have unpredictable weather. Make sure you check the weather forecast to pack accordingly and don’t forget to bring your rainy weather gear: umbrellas, raincoats and waterproof shoes so that the rain won’t dampen your Dreamforce experience.
Goodie bag
Don’t forget to bring an empty satchel or bag to fill with all the freebies you will be getting at Dreamforce! And on that note – make sure to leave some space in your return luggage for all the gadgets and goodies you will be collecting!
