CloudShift sponsors Surf Force 2017

This year has been a second time for Surf Force event organised by passionate Salesforce community members. This year it was held on the west coast of Ireland in the town of called Bundoran. All the event attendees stayed in a Great Northern hotel, next to the ocean, that never stopped reminding of itself with the welcoming noises and warm wind chills.

CloudShift was thrilled to support Kristina and Marcelle (a Surf Force Organiser)  who travelled from London to the event location city Bundoran, Ireland.

Surf Force event attracted more than 60 attendees from all over the world and also known professionals in the Salesforce community industry like, Charlie Issacs, CTO for Customer Connection (a.k.a IoT), Chuck Mortimore, SVP of Identity & Security Product Management, Gregg Rewis, Principal Developer Evangelist and many more

The Charity Keynote was held by Beckey Finn that raised awareness of the current situation with the enormous amount of plastic waste in the ocean and how it is impacting our eco system year by year.

The rest of the first day was very informative.  More than 15 sessions were held during the day by the speakers from all over the world, sharing admin and developer tips, tricks and  experiences from Salesforce projects.

Day 2. The main reason behind the name.

The second day of the conference was fully devoted to exploring coast of west Ireland and, of course, Surfing.

After the breakfast, all attendees jumped into the bus and drove to Donegal Adventure surf-force-3Centre where lovely instructors shared surfing and safety instructions and provided necessary surfing gear.

Inspired by the talk of Beckey Finn, Clean Coasts creative media consultant, all attendees participated in cleaning the coasts campaign

This was very satisfying experience, that raised the awareness of the current ecological situation in the environment we live in.

After, the good work i.e. costs cleaning was done, everybody joined the surfing class and experienced Ireland’s waves.

After 1 full day of intensive conferences and sessions and one full day in the fresh air, all the event attendees had delicious 3 course dinner in the main dining hall of Great Northern hotel.
