Salesforce Lightning – the future of CRM

Salesforce Lightning is the latest user interface release for Sales Cloud, there have been many developments and businesses around the world have embraced the Salesforce Lightning Experience. As you know, we’re all about speed and efficiency here at CloudShift with our RapidShift for Salesforce and RapidShift for Pardot which is why we thought we’d give those that don’t know the key facts about how Salesforce Lightning could help turbo boost their business.

Salesforce Lightning is a powerful multi-tenant, next-generation metadata platform that provides a consistent, modern user experience across any device. Also included in this is the Salesforce Lightning App Builder so business users and developers can quickly and easily build custom apps so they have all the data and intelligence they need when they’re on the go.

The past 17 years have seen Salesforce completely re-imagine CRM for the digital era and in August 2015, Salesforce launched the new Salesforce Platform – Sales Cloud Lightning. Over the past 12 months has seen the development and launch of Service Cloud Lightning, Marketing Cloud Lighting and Field Service Lightning. The good news for most people is that transitioning from ‘Classic’ Salesforce to Lightning Experience is generally available for all editions at no additional cost.

Just taking the initial Sales Cloud Lightning as an example, there are a number of benefits to transitioning to Lightning.

Smarter. The interactive home page makes it easy to view critical deal details and instant alerts allow you to adjust your strategy with the latest info. Updating forecasts, gaining pipeline visibility and tracking team performance with Sales Wave Analytics is now within reach through Lightning.

Faster. Speed up the sale and make strategic adjustments with drag-and-drop ease. Insightful recommendations power your business to the next stage in your sales cycle. With Lightning, every customer interaction can become an opportunity by tracking activities and writing emails from your CRM solution.

Mobile. Your mobile device now becomes your base, from viewing scheduled events to getting updates on accounts on the go. Conference calls, accessing and updating your CRM data is now even more simpler. Your field team will also be much more efficient with the new Field Service Lightning, deliver faster, smarter, more personalised service from the phone to the field on one platform.

Choice. Customisation is the key, with Lightning providing a new look with a structure and process that works for how you need to sell. By using App Cloud you’ll have everything you need to build beautiful, engaging apps that transform your customer experience.

In addition to Sales Cloud Lightning, Salesforce also offers Service Cloud Lightning, Marketing Cloud Lighting and Field Service Lightning which offer a number of extra features and benefits to Salesforce customers.
